1. Exchange

Our way of working leaves room for an exchange of know-how and techniques conducive to creation. By working with artisans with different methods and approaches, we discover, exchange and stimulate each other. This particular environment allows us to broaden our vision of creation and the methods of fabrication and thus to innovate.

This exchange is of course reciprocal. In turn, we pass on our know-how, our techniques, our vision that differ and fully nourish this space of exchange conducive to change and discovery

We pay particular attention to the design of our objects and their quality. We work exclusively with independent artisans and aspire to support local crafts. Thus, we pay the artisans fair and rewarding prices.

3. Producing and consuming responsibly

As young designers, we believe in a lifestyle where we consume less but better. That's why we choose to produce small quantities of handmade objects in a human-sized workshop.

We select local materials ourselves, which allows us to ensure the quality of our objects in order to offer products that last over time.

In this same perspective of responsibility in production and consumption, we limit waste. For example, we reuse materials as soon as possible by recycling soil scraps during the manufacturing of parts.

2. Challenging the dynamics in place

By committing ourselves entirely from the design to the production of our pieces, our goal was to challenge the classic relationship between designer and craftsman.

To achieve this, we have chosen not to play the role of a simple sponsor but to go beyond that.

The exchange relationship described above allows us to build deep ties with our different partners. These months spent together have allowed us to establish a relationship based on trust, respect and transparency where every opinion counts. This sincere and reciprocal consideration has extended with time beyond the frame of the work. It allows us to invest ourselves in our daily lives where mutual help is always welcome.

4. On the environment

IBKKI pays special attention to the protection of the environments in which we operate.

We believe in a lifestyle that tends to buy less, but better. That's why all our objects are handmade, locally, by artisans that we have selected. Our objects are made with love, passion and respect of the artisanal traditions. In general, handmade objects require less energy than mass production, which makes them more sustainable.

We pay particular attention to the design of our objects and their quality. We work exclusively with independent artisans, and aspire to support local crafts and artistic community.
